I am receiving the following error during the "Current configuration: BizTalk WMI" portion of the configuration process:

Cannot connect to the repository.
OLAP Server: DEVDB
Error: [Microsoft][ODBC Driver manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified.

When providing the database information during the data entry part of the config wizard, I specified DEVDB as the analysis server and I received no error at that time. (I am using Windows Authentication).

My setup is as follows: DEVDB is the SQL Server and Analysis server. DEVBT is the Biztalk server and Windows Sharepoint Services server. The PivotTable Service components and Decision Support Objects are installed on DEVBT. I am using domain accounts and
groups for the configuration of Biztalk.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Robert,

For BizTalk Server 2004, you must enable network clients DTC access for multi-server deployment configurations. Here is more info about this process:

http://www.msdn.microsoft.com/libra...config_dibn.asp

Also, there are some Troubleshooting tips for BizTalk Deployment at
http://www.msdn.microsoft.com/libra....asp?frame=true

Hope this helps,
Kevin

If running config on DEVBT as a low-privlege user on DEVDB(as SA only with
no machine-permissions for example), verify they belong to olap admin group
on DEVDB.
There's other permissions required as well. Check here:
