All,

I am trying to run the tutorial with a slight twist. The tutorial states
that it is assuming that you are doing this all on one machine. I have two
machines. I have the server machine where everything should be deployed to
and then I have my workstation, where I am developing my solutions.

My question is, what do I need to make this setup work? Do I need to add my
workstation as a host?

I am at the "Adding a Send Port in BizTalk Explorer" and I do not see the
ERPPipeline in step 9. Is that because I am not developing on the server?
Also, when I deploy using the wizard, the wizard asks if I want to install
the dll in the local GAC. Should I?

Thank you for your help,
Tom

All,

It seems I may have got past this issue by specifying the UNC to my
workstation for step 7 under "Adding a Send Port in BizTalk Explorer" but
now I am hitting another issue under "Using BizTalk Administration Console".
The issue is when I get to step 7, and click next, I get a "cannot enlist"
error message.

Any ideas?

Thank you,
Tom

Let me make sure I understand your setup: you have a server and a dev
machine. Did you specify the dev machine to the same databases on the
server, or it has its own databases?

If the dev machine has its own databases, then you are developing on a
stand alone machine, and you just export the dll to the server when you
finish it on the dev machine.

However, if dev machine shares the same set of db with the server, then
they are in the same group. You can try to twist the sample as you
described.

Also, when I deploy using the wizard, the wizard asks if I want to install
the dll in the local GAC. Should I?

The answer is yes if you want to run it on the local machine. You need to
GAC it locally whereever you want to run this.
