I am attempting to install 4902. I installed it on top of version 4826, but things were not working, so I uninstalled BTS. I then went and deleted all of the database tables.
I installed BTS and verified that the Sharepoint services web site was up and running. Upon running the installation, it installs successfully, but the problem is when it is going through the configuration tool, it all works, but it then errors out when i
t gets to the rules update engine.
I went into the services list, and the rules update engine is not in the list of services.
I went to modify the BTS install, I unchecked the Rules Engine, uninstalled that portion, and then rebooted and reinstalled the Rules Engine.
The service still does not show up in the services list.
I am unable to find anything on the MS site regarding this issue.

This is also running on Windows 2003.

Uninstall Biztalk and delete all of the databases.

Go into the registry under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControl
Set\Services and
delete any references to the Biztalk services such
as 'Rules Engine Update', Biztalk Runtime, Enterprise
Single Sign On.

Reboot the machine to make sure the services are not
loaded and that any stray connection processes in SQL
Server have been killed.

Clear out event logs and re run the install. View the
install log and event logs to see if there are any issues.

Hope it helps.
