I am having a time with setting up a clients BizTalk server. It seems to b
caching the old data types from the previous version of the schema and then
dumping my input XML to the suspended queue. I have even deleted all of the
files from the repository and stopped and restarted the BTS service and it
is still caching, how can I stop this??

The last answer is for BTS 2004, but that's incorrect in BTS 2002
In BTS 2002 you need to refresh the document definitions and the channels
associated with the docuemnt definition.
In the messaging manager application open the document definition and clic
next, next next finish, the same with the channels, this opperation will
refresh the schemas.

There is no next, next, next, finish on the document definition in messaging
manager (only channels) do i just reselect the document definition.

Here's what I hear you saying... you tell me if I got it right:
you are using BTS 2002. You have a pair of schemas and a map between them
(correct)?
You update one schema. You want BTS to use that new schema to accept
inbound documents. It does not.
You have rebooted the BTS server and it is still not working.

Have you updated the map?

In BTS2002, when you create a map, the inbound and outbound schemas are
COPIED into the map file. Changing the schemas themselves doesn't replace
those copies. The mapper will get the inbound data and will attempt to map
it, and the map will probably fail.

Open the mapper on your map. I don't remember the exact menu selection, but
I believe it says something like "Replace Source Schema" or "Replace
Destination Schema". Select the one that is appropriate for you and accept
the warning. (Note, if the name of a node has changed in your schema, all
links BELOW that node will be lost. If the name of the root node changes,
you are unfortunate and probably quite upset at having to completely
recreate the map. That's life with Biztalk.

Once you have updated the schema and repaired any damage to your map, then
you should refresh your map and the schema in Biztalk Messaging Manager.
(Reboot will have the same effect).

Try this and tell me if this doesn't solve your problem. Also, let me know
if I made any bad assumptions at the beginning of the e-mail. Unless I
understand your situation, I cannot help.
