How i install Biztalk 2004 on Windows 2003 Which Domain Controller?
|
|
|
| I'am trying to install Biztalk 2004 on Windows 2003 Server,
which is also a Domain Controller.I Created domain accounts,
onfigframework.exe tries to use them as local
accounts for the sql server login (that was the problem i encountered) which
fails with a message like:
***The Windows NT-USer or -Group 'ms-dell\BizTalk Server-Administrators' could
not be found. Check the name."***
Please help me.Thank you very much!

There are some known issues when installing Biztalk on a domain controller.
You can review known issues at config time at:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/e....asp?frame=true
It seems that your issue could match the following one (available on the previous page):
Problem: When running the Configuration Wizard on a domain controller, configuration fails because the account is missing
Moreover, as I am sure you know, the config framework creates log file in %temp% named Config(mmddyy hhmmss).log
which contains a detailled log of all actions (and failures). In order to better help you, you could post the content of this log file
around the point of failure.
I am also sure that you checked out the event log for event that could have been useful in troubleshooting this.
Thanks.
-Gilles.
