| I have runnig biztalk 2004 in windows XP, and sql server in Windows 2000 server
currently I have problems in the configuration wizard to get connect to my sql server, Im quite sure that the problem is about windows authentication process, and I was wondering if both machines must be in a domain??, I'm currently only have a work group
...
must the user be the same in both machine??,
if in the xp machine I log like user: ekemp pass=password
the bistalk try to connect to sql server using this information:
user \\machine_name\ekemp
if that is correct, I have to add this user to SQL server, but if I dont have configure a domain I can't add a user from a remote computer...
Any sugestion or correction??

| BizTalk Server 2004 supports local accounts only on a single-box
configuration. Multiple box configurations must use domain accounts. This
means that your SQL Server and BizTalk server must be on the same machine
if you want to use local accounts.
Excerpt from
<http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/d...n-us/deploying/
htm/ebiz_depl_config_rdqx.asp>
Important BizTalk Server supports local group and user accounts only in
single computer configurations. BizTalk Server supports domain group and
user accounts in both single and multiple computer configurations.
For a guide on how to configure BizTalk Server 2004 on multiple machines see
<http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/d...n-us/deploying/
htm/ebiz_depl_config_dibn.asp>
Single box configuration should be pretty straight forward.
Thanks,
Adrian.
