Hi,

I am trying to install Biztalk 2004 on XP professional after I installed XP
sp2. I followed the installation guide (SP2 installed several components
already), but every time when I run configframework.exe, the error will be
shown:

"Creation of Adapter FILE Configuration Store entries failed. Access is
denied."

Could you please tell me what's wrong with my installation? I even used
Administrator for account needed, but same error happens. Thanks in advance!

Follow the article from:

841893 The Enterprise Single Sign-On Service and associated BizTalk Server
2004
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=841893

The error is different, but it still most likely stems from issues with SSO
and XP sp2.

I modified group policy according to that article, but following error
occurred:
---------------------------------------------------------
[12:16:54 PM Error SSOServerCfg]
c:\depot4000\jupiter\source\private\moza
rt\source\sso\ssoconfiguration\ssoserver
cfg\ssoservercfgimpl.cpp(347):
An unexpected error occurred while configuring the Single Sign-On server (The
service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no
enabled devices associated with it.).
.....
[12:17:41 PM Info ConfigFramework] Showing MessageBox with text: An
unexpected error occurred while configuring the Single Sign-On server (The
service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no
enabled devices associated with it.). Return Code: 4
---------------------------------------------------------

I manually turned SSO service on, but when I run configframework again, it
turned SSO service off and reported the error.

Any idea about that? Thanks in advance!

Hi,

can you make sure that the user ESSO runs with is part of the SSO
administrators group? If you install SSO, make sure you are installing with
a local admin user with a non-blank password. Hope this helps.

Best regards,
Christof
