I just read this message posted on :
I am trying to install a new copy of Biztalk 2004. During
the configuration (with ConfigFramework.exe), it always
show error:

An unexpected error occurred while configuring the Single
Sign-On server (The specified service does not exist as an
installed service.).

The following is part of the log file. Thanks for any help.

I have the same error in Windows 2000 while configuring
biztalk. Can you please tell me what you did to remove it.
It does this in evenviewer and then error comes:
performance counters for the ENTSSO service were loaded
successfully. The Record Data contains the new index
values assigned to this service.

Had this happen recently...make sure that SSO is not trying to be run under
the Local Service account...in config
log you may see something similar to:

Creating service: ENTSSO, start type: 2, exe: C:\Program Files\Common
Files\Enterprise Single Sign-On\ENTSSO.exe, dependencies:
WMI,RPCSS,COMSysApp,MSSQLSERVER, account: <machine>\LOCAL SERVICE

This cannot run under this account, built-in accounts are not supported.
Create a new account for this service to run under.
