| -- Sorry for the cross-post, I accidently placed this message in
BizTalk.General
Hi,
My staging BizTalk server stopped functioning (I am not sure on the
timeline). Initially the problem was the Admin console would fail to open
with a WMI error, and the HAT could view messages etc but could not action
Terminates/Resumes etc. Scouring newsgroups, someone mentioned unconfiguring
BizTalk with ConfigFrame.exe which I did, when I attempted to reconfigure I
received the error:
"Failed to load configuration data for feature: Rules Engine. Please see the
log file for more details".
Upon review of the log, I noticed the erring lines:
[10:17:48 AM Info RuleEngineConfig] Entering function:
CRuleEngineConfig::GetFeatureConfig
[10:17:48 AM Info ConfigHelper] Feature: Engine is installed
[10:17:48 AM Info ConfigHelper] Connected to WMI namespace

[10:17:48 AM Info RuleEngineConfig] Leaving function:

[10:17:55 AM Info ConfigFramework] Showing MessageBox with text: Failed to
load configuration data for feature: RulesEngine. Please see the log file
for more details. Return Code: 1
[10:17:55 AM Error ConfigFramework]

on\configwizard\exe\jupiterconfigtool.cpp(258): FAILED hr = 80041013
[10:17:55 AM Error ConfigFramework]
c:\depot4000\jupiter\source\private\comm
on\configwizard\exe\jupiterconfigtool.cpp(1962): FAILED hr = 80041013
After this, I uninstalled and rebooted - then reinstalled but still to no
avail. I tried manually recompiling the biztalk MOF files which executed
successfully, which didn't change anything.
I believe I have confirmed that the WMI namespaces are installed using
WBEMTEST.EXE pointing to the root\MicrosoftBizTalkServer - which provides the
same results as my development server.
I have fully patched the system via Windows Update (with exception to the
WSS SP1 patch)
The staging servers details are:
Win2003 Server
Sharepoint 2003
SQL Server 2000
Biztalk 2004
Any help/suggestions would be great.
Regards,
Lincoln

| Take a look at:
839186 You may receive a "failed to load configuration data for feature:
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=839186
Did you delete the databases in SQL before you ran configframework /u?
Normally this is when you see this type of error. Information is missing
from the management database to unconfigure Biztalk due to databases being
deleted too early. Did you also say you uninstalled Biztalk, deleted all
the databases from SQL, reinstalled and you still see this?
