Author ConfigFramework error - SSO

Hi All,

Currently we have two Win 2003 Servers, one has the SQL 2K installed (its
also a domain controller), and the other one has Biztalk 2004 installed.
Everything works fine so far, we want to add another Biztalk on a 3rd
server, all the software installed fine, for configuration, we choose the
"join" a BizTalk server group, and selected "no" on the single sign-on
server master secret key, but during the Database configuration screen, for
the SSO Database, I choose the correct DB server and database names, but the
configuration keeps saying "The SSO Administrators account does not exist on
HPPROD2DB1 and cannot be created. Contact your administrator." (HPPROD2DB1
is our database server name). I double checked the DB server, that SSO
Administrators does exist and it is a domain group. The setup log file
shows the following error, does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Thanks,
Benson.

When you are entering the SSO Admin Account, are you prefacing it with the
domain name?

There is no way to enter the SSO Admin account information from the
ConfigFramework UI.

I think the problem is when we setup our 1st BizTalk server (which is the
SSO master server also), the SSO defaults to use the "SSO Administrators"
account, which is a local account, and we should use ssomanage change to a
domain account, then the 2nd biztalk server's ConfigFramework will
automatically use this domain account as well. I havn't had any chance to
re-configure this one yet, but is my assumption correct?

Thanks,
Benson.

You're on track there. Sorry about the delayed response, I've been pretty
busy lately heh.

If you don't preface the SSO Adminstrator's Group with a domain first, it
will assume local computer group.

So if you do like you've said, change it to a domain group (DOMAIN\SSO
Administrators), then when you configure the 2nd one, set it as non-master,
and point to the group using
DOMAIN\SSO Administrators and you should be golden.
