Hello,
I'm in the process of installing biztalk server 2004 dev edition. Everything
goes Ok except
when it come to creating the "Biztalk Tracking Analysis Database"
db.(BizTalkAnalysisDb)and
and BAM aanalysis database (BAMAnalysis).
On the Database configuration dialog box, i can see that all other dbs are
created
by the setup program. So why does it fail the create the first two DBs?
Do the require a different service to be running ?
Any help will be highly appreciated.
Many Thanks
/JB

| SQL Analysis has it's own manager in the MMC. On the Start Menu, under
Microsoft SQL Server, you should see an entry for Analysis Services. You
will find it's manager in there.
Also, the SP3a install for OLAP (Analysis Server) is indeed different from
the SQL SP3a install. You must install both packages. Hope this helps.

Hi,
I did not quite get if you are experiencing a problem with the
configuration or not.. But - the Analysis DB and the BAMAnalysis DB are
both part of SQL Analysis Services and will therefore not show up in
Enterprise Manager, but in the Analysis Manager.
So, if you are experiencing trouble with these two databases it could be
related to a lacking installation of Analysis Services SP3a ?
HTH,
Asbjørn
