Setting up BizTalk and SQL on separate servers
|

| Hi, I've just set up BizTalk and SQL Server on separate servers. Having SQL
Server already installed I ran BizTalk setup. During the setup the BizTalk
setup could not find certain Windows groups and I had to add them manually
to my SQL Server. Surely this isn't the way to go about installing BizTalk.
What did I do wrong?
Why did I have to create Windows groups manually, groups such as BizTalk
Application Users and EDI Subsystem Users?
Regards,
Chris

| Chris,
I am assuming you are using local groups. BizTalk will not create local
groups on the remote SQL server machine. Additionally, keep in mind that in
a multi machine environment, while you can get away with using identical
local accounts on each machine, it is not a supported scenario.
Also, even if you are using domain groups, the groups are not created by
BizTalk. Please take a look at the installation guide for more information.

Hope this is helpful
