Hi I am trying to Move the biztalk databases from default instance to a named
instance within the server(same server).
Can i just detach and attach the databases. Is there any settings within the
biztalk app server to do this.

Any help ?

Please take a look at http://www.msdn.microsoft.com/libra...estore_prqu.asp which tells you how to restore BizTalk databases to an alternate
server/database.
