Hi,

In my environment, my MSSQL server joins the Domain Controller. When
BizTalk Application client (BizTalk also joins the same Domain
Controller) connects to MSSQL DB using trusted MSSQL connection, MSSQL
Server will fire off a request to Domain Controller for authentication.

Could anyone advise what ports needs to be opened for the
authentication to succeed?

Thank you,
Kelvin Tan

Hi Kelvin,

These are standard ports required when configuring BTS over a domain.

Port Description
-------------------
80 HTTP
1443 SQL
389 LDAP
88 Kerberos
53 DNS

Additionally you would require the following for remote admin:

445 MMC

Cheers..!
