I have Windows 2K3. I configured it for Application Server role there by
enabling ASP.NET and Front page extensions 2002. I then installed BizTalk and
it did install BAS saying that WSS was detected on my system.

However at the time of configuration is gives me the default address for the
BAS site as http://<machinename>/sites/BASSite. I can't proceed further since
there is a message here - "You are attempting to install Business Activity
Services on a virtual server that has not been configured with Windows
SharePoint Services. Refer to the documentation for instructions on extending
a virtual server."

I am not able to proceed further since I don't what requires to be done for
WSS and the virtual server. Any help?

I just wanted to updated that I have found a solution. The issue was with the
WSS setup. Once I downloaded WSS with SP2 (as stated in the BTS installation
guide) and reconfigured it, things fell in place and the configuration
completed without any more issues.
