| I get an error when I run configuration wizard. See logfile below. I
have BizTalk 2004, Visual Studio.NET 2003, Windows 2003 with SP1,
SQL-Server 2000 SP4 with analysis services and the hotfixes described
in the installation instructions.
I got another error first but corrected it using this KB:

| I have tried again and got another error. If I do not remember wrong I
got this error the first time when I tried the above installation.

| I have reinstalled Windows Server 2003 without ServicePack 1 and
BizTalk 2004 and now it works. Is Windows Server 2003 with ServicePack
1 a supported operating system for BizTalk 2004? Is there anyone that
has successfully installed BizTalk 2004 on Windows Server 2003 with
ServicePack 1?

| W2K3 SP1 is supported for BTS 2004. We will look into the issue you got.

| Thanks, I have done a new test now from a new installation of Windows
2003 with SP1 and it worked. So it must be some other problem I had
previously. I will continue to check what it could have been.
Steps in test:
Install Windows 2003
Install Windows 2003 SP1
Install IIS
Install Microsoft Visual Studio=AE .NET 2003 with Microsoft Visual C#=AE
..NET
Create user accounts for SQL Server and BizTalk
Give them rights Act as part of operating system and Log on as service
Install Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Developer Edition with Service Pack
3a with default settings and using account above
Install Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Analysis Services with Service Pack
3a
Install Microsoft XML Core Services (MSXML) 4.0 with Service Pack 2
Install Microsoft XML Core Services (MSXML) 3.0 with Service Pack 4
Install SQLXML 3.0 with Service Pack 2
Install Microsoft Office Web Controls 10
Install Update Q831950
Install BizTalk 2004 with default settings and using account above

| I have done a new test following the steps above plus installing SQL
Server SP4 and all updates that Windows Update Service found and then
installing BizTalk which worked without problems. So now I do not know
why the installation BizTalk fails where I first tried to install it. I
tried again and got the error message Failed to generate the master
secret (error code 0X80070005).

I also have problems with Windows 2003 SP1. My problem concerns publishing
an orchestratiopn as a web service. It works fine with no SP1. But after
installing SP1 I can't get it to work any more. I have tried this on two
different servers. I have also tried to install Windows 2003 with SP1 before
Biz Talk, but I get the same result. The error message is:
"The web server reported the following error when attempting to create or
open the Web project located at the following URL:...."
