Hi all,

I kept getting the "Unspecified Error" while trying to configure BTS 2004.
Below are the extract from the error log:

[11:15:19 AM Info BtsCfg] Entering function: CWMI::CreateServer

c:\depot4000\jupiter\source\private\moza
rt\source\setup\btscfg\btswmi.cpp(395): FAILED hr = 80004005

rt\source\setup\btscfg\btscfg.cpp(774): FAILED hr = 80004005
[11:15:19 AM Info BtsCfg] Leaving function: CBtsCfg::ConfigureFeature

I am running XP SP1a and Novell logon.
Can anyone help?

Cheers

Howdy,

I will get with the developer on this today and see what I can find out.
The issue is that it is failing to create the BizTalk server WMI provider
instance.

Hi all,

The problem was due to my machine name is greater than 15 characters.
Changed the machine name and the configuration went smoothly.

Mine are 14, so this wont solve mu problem...

But I am using Virtual Server 2005, with SQL and BTS 2004 installed on
different VM but on the same physical host.

I had this error and had to install sql2kasp3.exe on machines that had SQL
Analysis or DCO installed.

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...&displaylang=en

And Biztalk is now working fine on Virtual Server.
