I do have administrator rights on the machine. SSO was not installed
beforehand, and when I tried installing it through sso.msi I got the error
message.
Something interresting though. I installed the SSO client (ssoclient.exe)
successfully. Plus, in the BizTalk installation if I select only
developpement and SDK, BTS's installation process goes almost all the way,
not saying a thing about SSO. However, I still get the same 1928 COM+ error
message about being unable to register a COM+ aplication. BTS's log file
seem to point to:
Property(S): Complus_XML_Data = <Complus><COMPlusApplication Name="XLANG
Internal Utilities">
as the last component iit tried to install. I've allowed the network
connections in MSDTC and outbound calls, even though it's all on the same
machine. I'm really thinking there's something wrong with my OS, since that
all worked like a charm last month. I've scheduled a format / ghost of my
workstation for next week, as the project really has to move on and I've
wasted enough time on this problem.
I thank you for your suggestion.
