| Hi there,
We are currently experiencing problems trying to configure BizTalk in a
multiserver environment.
We have 2 PCs both running W2K3, one of which is to hold the sql dbs
(for our application and for biztalk). Both PCs are virtuals, but have
been added to the domain.
On the DB server, I have manually added the biztalk groups, and added
myself as a member of all of them (admin rights). We were not able to
create a dedicated bizTalk domain user. (is it required?)
In the configuration wizard, I specified the db server in one of the
steps however when the steps complete and configuration starts, the
following error is displayed: "Failed to deploy BizTalk system assembly
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft BizTalk Server
2004\Microsoft.BizTalk.GlobalPropertySchemas.dll". Unspecified
exception: An error occurred while enlisting in a distributed
transaction."
I have checked the following:
1. Added the registry key to turn of RPC security
2. Enabled "NetWork Clients" in Component Services
3. Granted full control to the %systemroot%\temp folder on both servers
4. Generated unique SIDs for the 2 virtuals (as they were copied from a
base image)
5. ran the msdtc -uninstall, msdtc -install on both servers
The error is still occuring.
If anyone has any ideas, or can list steps as to what groups/users need
to be part of the domain/local before running the config wizard for
BizTalk, please post!
Any help is appreciated. Otherwise, we'll have to install biztalk on
the same box as sql server which we don't want to do!
Thankyou,
Danielle
