Full installation of the BizTalk 2004 requires SharePoint
Services 2.0 to be also installed. But when I install the
SharePoint services I am getting error message saying:

Setup has detacted that you default virtual server is
running FrontPage 2002 Server Extensions....

I would have to remove the extensions in order to install
the SharePoint services. But I need those excentions to
run the Visual Studio. So, I realy cannot remove them
since I need them for my VS.NET. If I cannot remove the
extension then I cannot install the SharePoint servers ans
as such I cannot install the full installation of the
BizTalk. Any ideas?

Thanks

If you don't use the knowledge work features like BAS/BAM/HWS then you don't
have to use WSS so you can still keep the FP extension. However if you
cannot have them coexist at the same time because the WSS ISAPI will take
over all request to the site.

HWS does not require WSS.
Only BAS (so BAM also) does.
cheers,

Is there any technical reason why during installation MS did allow the site
for use byWSS to be chosen rather than defaulting to the 'Default Web Site'?
Seems to me to be the most logical thing.

Installed the eval on my laptop after removing FP extensions before
realising that VS needs them.
I now have to undo the installation unless there is an alternative fix
