Hi,

I have this error message when i try to enable my receive location port.
The Messaging Engine failed to add a receive URL "prtReceive" to the adapter
"FILE". Reason: "File transport does not have read/write privileges for
receive location 'C:\'. ".

I use a send port and 4 locations with differents mask.
When i connected to te server with remote control i can create/delete file
(rigth seem ok) .

Do you have a solution to this problem?
Thanks
Greg

The receive location will be using the credentials supplied by the host
under which it is running. When you connect via remote control you will be
using the account you log in as - which may not be the same account.

To find out which account the receive is running under, look at the receive
location in the BizTalk Administration Console. It will show you the host
under which the receive location is running. If you then look at that host
in the Admin console, it will show you which instances are running, and the
account that each instance is using. (The host instances run as windows
services, and so have a user identity under which they run.) See the help
topic ms-help://BTS_2004/Operations/htm/ebiz_ops_security_yceu.htm for more
details on host service accounts.

If you're still having problems, you can download the freeware application
"Filemon" from www.sysinternals.com , which you can use to view which
processes are attempting to access which files.
