hi,
You can look into the beta documentation of Biztalk
servers for this information. As the documentation provided
with the RTM is not comprehensive.

there is anorexic thin documentation for biztalk framework component even in the new help..
no samples, no explanations, just a list of the properties and a couple paragraphs describing high level concepts, anyone not familiar with btf would have no clue what these properties are.... how bout a little richer explanation of how to implement...

You're right. I'm even not sure if MS is planning to encourage the use of
this framework any more!! The new upcoming WS-specs will replace all this
kind of functionality. So for the roadmap, I'd advise to keep an eye on WSE
and in the further future: definately INDIGO!!!

Kind regards,
Christof

Guys, there is a whitepaper being written on developing adapters using
Biztalk adapter framework.
It should be out in just a couple of days. I'm not sure if i can insert
the preliminary copy of the white paper here, but
i'll find out and follow up.

Overall, adapters will still be written to communicate with 3rd party
systems. Writing adapters on biztalk is still viable.

in my previous mail, i meant "back end systems" and not "3rd party systems"

sorry for the typo.

You can get the new white paper for adapter development using BTS2004 at

http://www.gotdotnet.com/team/wsser...erDevGuide.zip.

Writing biztalk adapters is going to be viable.
