| I'm encountering the same error in two different new installations of BizTalk and two different samples. The first sample is from the updated BTS help tutorial and the "hash total" error occurs while running Base EDI Tutorial 1 (error message exactly as Masood has described). The "hash total" error also occurs in the FlatFileReceive sample with a slightly different message:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: EDI Subsystem
Event Category: BizTalk Server 2004
Event ID: 23
Date: 6/19/2004
Time: 7:10:06 PM
User: N/A
Computer: ABC123
Description:
Error encountered: ERROR (90) :
The hash total for the file is incorrect. Contact the system administrator.
eif: [C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\BizTalk Server 2004\EDI\Subsystem\\eif\live.wrk]
For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
I'm interested in learning how to investigate BizTalk errors in general, but I really need to get past this particular problem ASAP. I'm using the Event Viewer and HAT, but there must be something else I can do to see the details about why a file is not processed.
BTS 2004 Evaluation (demo CD packet from Microsoft)
SQL Server 2000 SP3 Developer Edition
Analysis Services sp3
Although I had to reconfigure BTS several times to get the hang of the user and group setup I believe that I have all of the correct rights assigned. (Logged-in user is a member of BTS App Users and EDI Subsystem Users; BTS Application Users and EDI Subsystem Users have full control of input and output folder; EDI Subsystem Users are in BTS_HOST_USERS role in BizTalkMgmtDb; I applied the "rollup" for each O/S from Microsoft (Q828748/Q828758)
The configuration of the two installations is identical except one is running on Win XP Pro and the other is running on Windows 2003 Server.
I would appreciate any advice.
Lisa
