Hi,

I need BizTalk Server 2004 to generate an EDI document for me based on the
EDIFACT 93A IFTMIN standard. I plan on using just the included Base EDI
functionality.

Unfortunately the schema for IFTMIN does not seem to be included with
BizTalk Server. What will be the easiest way of defining the schema? Will I
need to do it from scratch and which tool should I use in that case? Or can
I download the schema somewhere?

It seems difficult to create a new EDI schema using the BizTalk Editor (the
content of the EDI tab just gets cleared whenever I change something) and I
have not found very much documentation on the subject. Am I going down the
wrong road or can you point me to some docs that will help me getting
started?

Sorry if the question is stupid but I haven't used EDI with BizTalk before.

Erik

Unless you install KB 840113, BizTalk Server 2004 doesn't support any schemas not shipped in a box.
Please also read limitations of the KB.

There is no easy way to create EDI schemas. You may check with Covast, it may be better to buy their accelerator.

Thanks,
Tatyana
