Author TCP/IP or LPR Print Adapter?

I have a client that sends print jobs from an AS/400 to a remote windows 2000
printer using TCP/IP printing. The jobs are formatted by a 3rd party product
before being sent to RightFax.

I am wondering if Biztalk has something like a Print Adapter (LPR or TCP/IP
printing)? I would like to use Biztalk in place of the 3rd party product.

I was going to experiment by setting the printer port to File but not sure
if that will work.

Hi,

Did you find any adapter or does it come down to writing your own?

The application running on the AS/400 is a Vendor (COTS) application and I
have limited configuration options. But I can configure the printer driver
to use Generic/Text. I was thinking I could then simulate an LPR port using
BizTalk (LPR Adapter?). The generic/text file can then be manipulated and
forwarded to RightFax.
