hi,

BizTalk2004
sap adapter 2.0
sap .NET Connector 1.2.2

I have problems to call a BAPI in SAP system. I have sucessful generated
the BAPI schema with add generated items....
Build the orchestration with the SendReceive port and deploy the solution on
the Server.
but when I process a file who has to be send with BAPI to SAP
I get folowing error message at application LOG :
The adapter failed to transmit message going to send port
"sap://AS:10.55.5.55/00/300/". It will be retransmitted after the retry
interval specified for this Send Port. Details:"Value of type RFCTYPE_NUM
contains non-digital character.".

How can I set this type RFCTYPE_NUM ?

Processing of Idocs In / Outbound with SAP works normal, but RFC BAPI Call
does not work.

I used the documentation SAP_Scenario.doc for setup Orchestration etc..
( Scenarios for Configuring the Microsoft® BizTalk® Adapter v2.0 for mySAP™
Business Suite)

Best Regards

We have had the exact same problem and contacted Microsoft to get help in solving it.

They provided us with a hotfix dated 17-2-2005 that solved this (and a few other) problem.

I am not sure the hot fix is publicly available, but maybe it is the same fix as this one: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=894182

Kindest regards

Hi Max

Im trying out the same scenario ( Calling RFC from BizTalk) in the
documentation SAP_Scenario.doc ( Scenarios for Configuring the Microsoft®
BizTalk® Adapter v2.0 for mySAP™ Business Suite).

But i could not get through the schema generation wizard. Its giving the
error as FilenotfoundException:File or assembly name SAP.Connector or its
dependencies not found.

Let me tell my scenario and configurations.

Im trying to connect .Net with SAP4.7 application using BizTalk Server2004.
The SAP application version 4.7

Scenario:

Calling the RFC from BizTalk application

I have configured the port to the SAP system.
Im using Microsoft BizTalk Adapter v2.0 for mySAPBusiness Suite for
connectivity.
While adding the Adapter using Add Generated Item, the Add Adapter Wizard
appears and I selected SAP
In the port I have selected the configured SAP port.
When I click Next button, the Schema Generation Wizard is opened and on the
click of Next button,
Im getting the error as
"File Not Found Exception": File or assembly name SAP.Connector or its
dependencies not found.

Tryed Solutions:
I have added the reference to SAP.Connector and SAP.Connector.rfc
Still Im getting that error.

Doubts:
I want to know whether the Adapter doesnt support SAP 4.7, it supports
only mySAP. Is there any version conflict?

I request you to give a prompt reply regarding this exception.
