Is there a way to get the Tracking ID within a custom Preprocessor
(implementing IBTSCustomProcess) or a lightweight AIC (implementing
BTSAppIntegration)? I know I can do it by implenting IPipelineComponent and
using the transport dictionary's Tracking_ID item, but that's not my
preferred solution...

Thanks

Hi Chris,

I'm afraid retrieving tracking_id from dictionary object passed to
AIC is the only workable way. Please refer to:

320850 HOW TO: Write a Visual Basic .NET Application Integration
Component for BizTalk Server
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=320850

Or you can write an intermediate encoder AIC instead of MIME/SMIME,
which should be more 'elegant'.

Thanks.
