Author SMTP Adapter strips out CR?

Hi

I am sending a flatfile as an attachment using the SMTP adapters. The
flat-file contents are actually contained with a CDATA node of an XML
document. I have a custom pipeline with an XML assembler using ASCII code
page. This is sent to the S/MIME encoder which has attachment set to true and
uses Base64 encoding.

The flat-file portion of the data is delimeted using CRLF. I know that the
SMTP protocol using CRLF to delimit protocol messages between server and
client. Is it possible that the SMTP adapter is modifiing these delimiters to
unsure conformance to the SMTP protocol or is there another reason?

Thanks in advance.
