We are trying to establish the following scenario:
BizTalk solution on a computer Biz communicates with MQSeries queue
manager on a computer MQ.

We have scenario running in the following setup.

Computer MQ: Windows Server 2003, MQ Series 5.3 CSD12, BizTalk 2004 MQ
Series adapter
Computer Biz: Windows XP, BizTalk Server 2004, BizTalk 2004 MQ Series
adapter

We are upgrading to BizTalk Server 2006 and want the solution to run on
the following setup

Computer MQ: Windows Server 2003, MQ Series 5.3 CSD12
Computer Biz: Windows XP, BizTalk Server 2006

How should we proceed in order to get the solution running?

Is it necessary to install MQ Series 5.3 CSD12 on the computer Biz?
Is it necessary to install BizTalk 2006 on the computer MQ?
How can we achieve, if that is the right way to go, to install only
BizTalk component of the adapter on the computer Biz and only the
MQSeries component of the adapter on the computer MQ?

In short, what is the "minimal" installation requirement for
computers Biz and MQ in order to achieve that the BizTalk 2006 solution
on the computer Biz communicates with MQSeries queue manager on the
Computer MQ.

At the moment, we are getting the following error "The adaptor is not
installed or configured correctly on the server MQ" when we try to
create a receive location with a transport type MQSeries and with a
queue definition referring to server MQ. It is probably because we do
not have MQSAgent2 on the computer MQ.

You should just change the text 2004 to 2006 in your description of your
environment today. MQSAgent2 is the 2006 version of the MQ-adapter. You need
to install that instead of the 2004 version. Most likely you can have both
2004 and 2006 version of the MQ adapters installed on your MQ-machine. Else a
smooth upgrade switch-over would be hard.

It was some time ago that I worked with the MQ-adapter, but I think that you
need the components on both servers. It installs into COM+ and communicates
between your servers that way.

The new HIS Adapters include the next generation of the WebsphereMQ adapter.
This adapter does not need any server side components installed. The CTP
build is available thru connect.microsoft.com.
I have not done an upgrade of the BTS04 adapter to the BTS06 adapter, so I
am not sure what you should expect.
