BizTalk Server Orchestration - number of orchestration instances created

Hi All,
I wan to know, If I process 1000 similar messages, is there going to
be 1000 orchestration instances or It can resuse the Orchestration instances
once it finish running.

Because, We ran 500 messages, the orchestration it is processing those
messages, is calling a component which is single threaded. After processed
the message, when I looked in to the HAT, I could see only 5 instances which
processed the messages. Can any one shed the light on this.
