Hi,

We are planning to orchestrate a business process.
We are having 4 to 5 individual applications, luckily each of them
accept xml as input.
for this scenario, do we need to design any custom adapter,
if so can biztalk gurus shed some light on what wud b transport type ?

TIA

It depends a lot on your specific needs. Unless you have a reason not to
(performance, an existing custom api, etc.), I'd probably just expose the
necessary endpoints in my custom app as webservices and call those from
biztalk.

Hi

Although I've never seen a recommendation on this, I usually create my own
transport type. I assume you are questioning the convention of the URI, i.e.
http://, https:// for SOAP, SQL:// for SQL Server, FILE:// etc.

I usual stick to a convention which identifies the target application. If I
have an application name MinSAT, I will create the URI with MINSAT:// as the
protocol.

Again, I'm not aware of any recommendation around it. If anyone else could
comment or correct me, please do...

Hope it helps
