Author CDATA Mapping issue only occurs in Orchestration

Hi,

Has anyone seen this? I have a map which I have used a scripting functoid to
define some inline xslt to retrieve the text from a CDATA element. I want to
map this over to another CDATA element in my target. I have defined the
target element in the "CDATA Section Elements". When I test the map,
everything is fine, I get the required output, however, when this map is
called from within an orchestration, the CDATA tag get created but the
actual text is missing from the target. I found a knowledge base article
which I thought might be the problem (Q841563) however after obtaining the
patch from MS, I am still left with no text.

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Cheers

Mike

what's Q841563? I can't find at at msdn.microsoft.com.

The reason I ask is that a developer I work with is claiming that he gets
different results when using the test map functionality and the mapping that
gets carried out when called from an orchestration (using the same map).

This is the gist:

Situation: You have a CDATA section in an inbound xml document within an
orchestration. The CDATA section contains flat file data, with vital
trailing (or leading) whitespace. After you execute a transform in your
orchestration, the CDATA designation is stripped (although the flat data is
still there) - and the leading/trailing whitespace is now lost. Curiously,
using the "Test Map" feature (by right-clicking on a map in the solution
explorer) doesn't exhibit this behavior.

Fix: Ask PSS for the hotfix associated with KB841563

HTH,

Mike
apologies for asking again, but is the fix only for CDATA related
mapping. As I said, I have a developer who reports different results
when testing map to those obtained when the map is deployed and run
as part of an orchestration.

Tan, can you give any more details as to how it was resolved?

I read that Mike posted a fix by using a KB. If you still have some
issues, could you send me your project (remove the "online" in the address)?
