BizTalk Server Orchestration - Error Web Service wizard

I am attempting to create a biztalk web service using the web service
wizard. I have tried both schemas and Orchestrations. The wizard is
returning a error when processing. The error states

The Web Server reported the following error when attempting to create or
open the Web project located at the following 'URL:
http://localhost/BiztalkWebService'. 'HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error'

I am using XP professional. Nothing seems to be wrong with the IIS server.
I am able to open web projects and view web pages. Are there any logs to
look at?

Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have the web service website configured under the correct application
pool?
