Author Positional Flat file specification returns error...

I am hoping that someone who has run into this error can help me out.

I have a file with 3 different types of records, each in a positional
format. I have created a specification according to the sample in the SDK.
The beginning of each record has a source tag identifier. I've listed most
of the fields as optional, because I am not sure I will always get all of
them.

When I try to validate the file, I get this error:

While parsing record "Root", the parser cannot find the required trailing
delimiter: " " (0x0009)

Carriage return is the record delimiter and I have set the "skip carriage
return" property to "no" on the root, as well as each record. I did this
according to the KB article 312733.

I cannot alter the way the file comes in to me as it is in a proprietary
format from the trading partner.

I am using BizTalk 2002 with HIPAA Accelerator v2.0.

Any insight as to fix this? Or should I open a ticket with MS?

Thanks,
Deborah

I assume you're working with BTS2000 or BTS2002. Can you attach your
schema and test instance data?

Thank you,
