I am not able to configure a port using VS .NET onto a
Message Box on a SQL cluster.

Scenario
--------

I am using a SQL cluster which hosts the configuration
database. I want to create and deploy orchestrations from
a machine which is not a part of the cluster.

I am able to sucessfully add the SQL Clsuter Vitrual Name
onto the Biz Talk Explorer window. When I create a port,
the error thrown from VS.NET is as given below.

First I get a error "MSTDC on XXXXXX (SQL Cluster Virtual
Name) is not available. Later I get a error message
as "Not allowed to change the connection string property
while connection (state=open)"

Can any one of you throw some light on this.

Arun

Arun,

Did you resolve the issue?

Hi Arun,

Can you verify you have Network DTC Access enabled on both your target SQL
Server and the client VS.NET machine?

See this KB article for how to enable network DTC access on a Windows
Server 2003 machine:
