Hello,

Has anyone had successful deployment in production going for a while with
nAnt?

My client has expressed a reservation because there is no formal support,
has it worked without that (or the need for lots of digging).

Thanks alot for the advice everyone.

Hi,

Did you look at the nAnt Workspace at gotdot.net?
BizTalk 2004 "Deploy with NAnt" Template: Workspace Home
http://www.gotdotnet.com/Workspaces...58-ac030a9b8a32

Thanks,
Mike

I've downloaded the sample and have it working.

I've also tried a few small orchestrations of my own with <slow> success. I
have the proof of concepts, yet no proof.

So far, nobody has been able to tell me they have used it in production with
any success.

Well, I'm biased, but I've seen it work in production with good success for
several decent-sized BizTalk solutions that are currently in production.

The near-parity between developer deployments and the server-based
deployments has proven to be a great advantage. The spreadsheet stuff for
environment-relative configuration (discussed on my blog) and the ability to
do install-time configuration (for app-pool accounts and such) has worked
out quite well.

There is certainly a lot of stuff to digest, but I believe it is relatively
well vetted at this point. I intend to do another release soon to fix a few
bugs and add a few features.

Scott,

The spreadsheet addition is a big bonus, fits right into what was needed for
this implimentation.

Thanks for the report back, at least this offers the client some
re-assurance.

Looking forward to the update.

Cheers,
Isaac Ferreira
