Cannot save to a network folder
|
|
|
| Is there any way to set up a network shared folder that
allows users to read and write but denies any deletion of
files or folders??
I've tried the advanced permissions to deny, but every
time I try to save from any program (i.e MS Word) I get
the following error:
"word cannot complete the save due to file permission
error"
This happens even when the user has full shared folder
permission.

| Saul,
The answer to your question is yes. I can help you but i need to know
what version of Windows the share is on in order to help you better.
The Answer is in the security or permissions but you may not see what
you are looking for if you have not set up your view correctly
