After installing application center on a server, it appears that our
Application eventlog is logging Perflib errors every 10-11 seconds. This
happens on every server that we have installed AppCenter on.

The messages reference various counters, but all list some sort of error
message stating that the counter didn't work or generated an error. How can
I globally disable this Perflib eventlog spam?

Thanks,

Mike

Whats the exact error? Are you running Application Center SP2?
What Windows 2000 Service Pack?
See the following:

299059 PRB: Event ID: 1008 Perflib Errors on Performance Data Counters

To clarify, it doesn't appear to just be the installation of AppCenter that
causes it, but the configuration of an AppCenter cluster. Can I globally
disable the logging of these perflib errors?

These are all separate eventlog entries on one of our servers; they are
repeated approximately every 10 seconds:

The Open Procedure for service "UPS" in DLL "C:\WINNT\system32\apcctrs.dll"
failed. Performance data for this service will not be available. Status code
returned is data DWORD 0.

The description for Event ID ( 2000 ) in Source ( apcctrs ) cannot be found.
The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or
message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. The following
information is part of the event: .

The Collect Procedure for the "Spooler" service in DLL
"C:\WINNT\system32\winspool.drv" generated an exception or returned an
invalid status. Performance data returned by counter DLL will be not be
returned in Perf Data Block. Exception or status code returned is data DWORD
0.

The Open Procedure for service "ISAPISearch" in DLL
"C:\WINNT\system32\query.dll" failed. Performance data for this service will
not be available. Status code returned is data DWORD 0.

The Open Procedure for service "IAS" in DLL "C:\WINNT\System32\iasperf.dll"
failed. Performance data for this service will not be available. Status code
returned is data DWORD 0.

The Open Procedure for service "ContentFilter" in DLL
"C:\WINNT\system32\query.dll" failed. Performance data for this service will
not be available. Status code returned is data DWORD 0.

What do we do if we are getting the...

The Open Procedure for service "IAS" in DLL "C:\WINNT\System32\iasperf.dll"
failed. Performance data for this service will not be available. Status code
returned is data DWORD 0.

Every 6 seconds in event viewer, yet the iasperf.dll is not even listed in Extensible Counter List?

IAS was installed on this W2K Server box a couple weeks ago, but has since been removed.
