Remote Desktop Connection settings problem

| Every time I connect to my computer (X) remotely using the Remote Desktop
Connection, all the my computer (X) desktop setting are changed to the
connecting computer settings.
I want to set my computer (X) so whenever I connect to it remotely using the
Remote Desktop Connection, my computer (X) setting will not be changed, or
even better; my computer (X) settings will be restored to its original
settings after the Remote Desktop session is ended.
How can I do that?
