Test freezes while recording.

I am new to ACT. I can record just fine up until I do a request that
takes a little while (and returns a large amount of data). Outside
ACT, the request takes about 1 min 35 seconds but does eventually
return. In ACT, the globe just keeps spinning. I have set the
timeout value in ACT up to 999. Is there anything I am missing.
