Syncronisation Problem - slow, fails

| I have recently taken over looking after an Intranet and am having
some trouble with AC.
I have three Windows 2000 servers, let's call them A B & C, in a
cluster running App Centre.
Server A is the master
Server A is supposed to replicate to B & C. and does. Kinda.
It regularly reports that it is copying twice as much data to B as C.
Can anyone axplain this?
Also if I look at A it shows, for example, 25mb of files modified in
the last 24 hours, but when syncronisation takes places anything up to
10 times that amount of data gets copied.
And it takes ages. Assuming that the screens are telling the truth and
250Mb is being replicated why is it taking over an hour on a 100Mb
link?
If anyone can help or point me in the right direction, I would be very
grateful. I have been struggling with this for a while now and the MS
resource kit, my predecessor and various other resources have not
helped.
Thanks
G

| are you using any software such as anti-virus or backup on the servers. If
backup or antivirus changes the file signature such as flipping the archive
bit or changing the modified date, the files will be replicatied.
