Application Center Usage - tfswctrl.exe log off problem

I'm having trouble logging. I get a message each time saying tfswctrl.exe is
not responding.
I have searched a bit and found that this is part of burning software on HP
cd writers DLA - (Direct Letter Access) programme.

I can't work out how to fix it apart from removing DLA. If I do this will I
still be able to write to cd's using other software?

Are there any other solutions.
