can’t enroll domain local group

For some reason I can’t enroll domain local group to a member server resource
(like a shared folder). I can only enroll global groups. On the DCs I can
enroll them both.
I have windows 2003 and windows 200 DCs ( 2000 native mode). Any idea
regarding this? What things should I check in order to solve this?
