Author odd problem downloading a file from a dialup

Excuse me, as I am not an Apache developer nor administrator. I am a
customer of Yahoo Webhosting. They host my website on their Apache
servers.

Lately I have been receiving complaints from my customers who cannot
download my 3mb demo file.

My investigation shows that the file can be downloaded with 100%
success from any broadband connection, but never from any dialup
connection. Any file over 300k stops at ~300k with the (false)
indication that the transfer was successfully completed. This has been
tested from various ISP's around the USA. It is interesting, though,
that FTP works every time.

Confronted with this, Yahoo Engineering responds that they are aware
of it but have no solution.

Given that a majority of web hosts worldwide use Apache, I simply
don't believe it. There must be some HTTP parameter that is set
incorrectly.

Can someone help me help Yahoo with this?

Thank you,
-
