Apache2 startup problem

Hi, I recently updated my apache2 (ver. 2.0.47) to ver. 2.0.48.-
I'm using Mandrake 9.2 with Kernel 2.4.22-30mdk but when I start
apache, it fall down and errlog say the following:
[crit] (38)Function not implemented: mod_rewrite: could not create
rewrite_log_lock
Configuration Failed
Somebody can help me what this mean?
