I have a very simple problem.

I am running a local Apache server on my Windows XP OS.
All I need it for is testing PERL CGIs.
Its domain name is localhost and it works in my browser.

The files/folders were automatically stored under C:\Program Files\Apache Group.

I created a painfully simple HTML file called test.html and saved it under
C:\Program Files\Apache Group\Apache 2\webpages

Then I opened my browser and typed http://localhost/test.html

and it Does not Work.

Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong.

PS if there is anything else I need to do to this local server to
make it work with my PERL CGIs please let me know
