Openssh on FreeBSD returns ftp listing with an asterisk
at the end of the filename. What does that mean?

Thanks.

See the -F switch in 'man ls', it classifies file type.
It may be in a default alias for ls in an rc file somewhere (depending
upon shell) on the ftpd end.

But what does ftp have to do with Openssh? It would likely be the same
wherever to ftp'd to that destination from (local or remote shell).
