Author problem with apach configuration

I have just installed apache on a solaris 9 box. The test page for
apache installation shows up (no matter my server is started or not).
But I cannot access "manual" or any other page on the server.
There is no error in error_log and there is no entry in access_log.
I am using ip address to send requests to my server.

I would greatly appreciate any help.

Thanks

Restarting the machine worked for me.
