It appears that just about everything to do with squid is discussed on the
squid mailing list at http://www.squid-cache.org/ rather than on usenet.

If you prefer the usenet interface you could always try asking gmane.org
to gateway it for you. (You would probably still need to register with the
squid m/l, but then simply set your preferences to receive no email. Gmane
would also be subscribed and that's where you'd read the messages.)
