I am building a few new systems for several clients. Does anyone know
if apache will perform better in a linux enviroment with a dual core
processor or single core dual processors?

Thank you.

Recently this question was asked in one of the forums I've read and
the consensus seemed to be that the dual-core processor would yield
5-15% better performance because the transfers would be on-chip versus
haveing to go through the motherboard bus to an external chipset.

Makes sense to me. Perhaps you should consider dual dual-core
processors?
